Spire Technology has fully energised a 25MVA power supply @ 132kV at its latest data centre development in Welwyn Garden City.
Welwyn DC is Spire Technology’s latest data centre scheme and is a fully enabled shell & core data centre in the London Low Latency Radius. With the new power supply there is now 33MVA connected and energised power supply on site.

The facility is half let to COLT Telecommunications and has been fully commissioned to Tier 3 grade data centre space. The remaining area is available to let with up to 6,320 sq m (68,000 sq ft) of raised floor space available for fit-out. The vacant area has an allocation of 17MVA @ 132kV.

Nexus 36 provides a new high specification unit, including good quality office accomodation over two floors.

The specification includes 12 dock level loading doors with an additional 2 ground level loading doors, 1000Kva power supply and internal eaves height of 14m.

Externally the unit benefits from a security gatehouse to staff and visitor parking and a secure yard with HGV parking.
