Mountcity Group recently acquired 8.82 acres of the 40 acre Ashroyd Business Park to speculatively develop a 205,000 sqft high bay distribution facility. The property, which will have an eaves height of 14 metres is located within 1 mile of junction 36 of the M1 and will attract local, regional and national logistics companies.
Construction work has started with practical completion expected September 2007.
The property complements the Groups other investments in the South Yorkshire area and confirms Mountcity’s strategy of seeking out opportunities to add value to the portfolio through not only traditional Industrial investments but through development partnerships with local companies.
Ashroyd Business Park is located less than 1.5 miles from J36 of the M1, South of Barnsley approximately 4 miles from Thorncliffe and Provincial Park on the new Dearne Valley Parkway (A1/M1 link).
